How Can Festivals Become More Sustainable?
A sustainable festival requires more than good intentions. It depends on collaboration among festival organisers and producers, production suppliers and vendors, and local authorities – including government and venue partners.
Facilitated by Ross Patel of LIVE Green, this session introduces a practical model for bringing these three parties together. Drawing on UK experience, participants will explore how shared action across planning, production, energy, waste, logistics and policy can reduce environmental impact and support more sustainable live events.
Open to members of the public interested in sustainable festivals and live events, the workshop offers an opportunity to learn from an international model and consider what it could mean for Hong Kong.
