For a long time, I have been engaged in research and practice in the fields of community gardens and community building, particularly in the development mechanisms and paths of public spaces with diverse participation. I have either led or deeply participated in several public participation events and actions in Shanghai, such as the KIC Garden in Yangpu District, the Participatory Community Planning in Dongming Road Street, and the Garden Co-creation Action in Xuhui District. My related research and practice cases have been selected multiple times for the “Shanghai Manual: A Guide to Sustainable Urban Development in the 21st Century” edited by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
