Teresa Yang

Vice Chairman, Esquel Group

Teresa Yang is Vice Chairman of Esquel Group, a knowledge-based innovation company committed to driving positive change in the textile and apparel industry. She is responsible for the Group’s strategic planning and has been closely involved in advancing its sustainability and innovation initiatives, including “Integral”, Esquel’s Sustainable Development Garden in Guilin.

“Integral” is a pioneering development model in the textile and apparel industry that combines cultural heritage, quality employment, innovative thinking, environmental sustainability, to showcase how manufacturing and nature can coexist in perfect harmony.

Beyond Esquel, Teresa serves as Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Textiles and Chairman of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel. She is also a member of the Clothing Industry Training Authority.

Passionate about education, Teresa is a founder of the Y.L. Yang Foundation and serves in advisory roles at institutions including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

She was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2022.
