Tsang Man-tung is an interdisciplinary contemporary artist active in scenography and music, and an important pioneer in singing bowl art.
In 2009, he received Asian Cultural Council fellowship, which allowed him to visit the Yale School of Drama as research fellow in 2010. In recent years, he has developed a series of widely acclaimed Theatrical Meditation productions, distinguished by a conceptual, minimalist, meditation-inspired aesthetic that seeks spiritual balance and harmony.
He received the Award for Best Artist (Theatre) at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards in 2008, as well as multiple local stage design awards. In 2025, his directorial work “Cankramati – Into the Microcosm” received the 1st Prize for Performance Design in the Professional Category at World Stage Design, earning recognition from the international theatre community.
In 2010, he founded Allpamama, advocating a balance between art, music, life, and meditation. In 2018, he released the music album “The Seed of Sound,” featuring 39 original singing bowl recordings. His publications include “The Bowl of Enlightenment” and “Scenography: Transcend to the Beyond.”
