Organisation Description

Founded in 1999, The Puppet & Its Double Theater vigorously expands the boundaries of contemporary performing arts through its experimental philosophy: “Everything can be a puppet”. Renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, seamless performer-puppet integration, and poetic storytelling, the company forges a unique contemporary aesthetic of magical fantasy and philosophical depth. Outstanding in its artistic achievements, the theater has been repeatedly shortlisted for the Taishin Arts Award, invited to numerous international festivals worldwide, and consecutively selected as a TAIWAN TOP Performing Arts Group.

Deeply committed to eco-sustainability, the company creates works highlighting nature and land issues. Following the landmark publication of the Guide to Green Workshop in 2024 to advocate for sustainable theater practices, it launched the Educational Guide to Green Workshop in 2026. This initiative extends the spirit of sustainable creation into the education system, continuing to amplify its environmental and social impact.
